Job Description
Diagnosis and Repair:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with tractors and related equipment. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components to restore functionality.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on tractors according to manufacturer guidelines and maintenance schedules. This includes servicing engines, lubricating moving parts, checking fluid levels, and inspecting brakes, steering, and other systems.

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay updated on the latest tractor models, technologies, and maintenance techniques.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge through training programs, workshops, and self-study to ensure proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of tractor systems.

Parts Management:

  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for tractor maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Order replacement parts as needed, ensuring timely availability to minimize downtime.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repair tasks. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among colleagues.

Documentation:

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings. Complete maintenance logs and reports as required by company policies and regulatory agencies.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner when providing maintenance and repair services on-site or in the field.
  • Communicate effectively to explain diagnosis, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.

Equipment Testing:

  • Conduct performance tests and quality checks on repaired tractors to ensure proper functioning and reliability.
  • Make adjustments as needed to optimize performance and efficiency.
